Emotional Freedom Techniques and Other Tips for Letting Go of Thanksgiving Drama

Thanksgiving dinner is over. You are stuffed.  Somehow you manage to eat one more bite of pie.  For some today has been difficult.  You are either alone or dealing with Thanksgiving drama of yelling and screaming or completely ignoring each other walking through the holiday ritual of “I have to be here even though I can’t stand so and so.”  How about using the self help tool of tapping for loneliness, anger, frustration , hurt and disappointment.

Using the EFT tapping points   begin by tapping on the side of the hand below the little finger and repeat 3 times “Even though I feel ___________ about this _____________, I will get through this.  Then tap every point in the picture: top of head, beginning of eyebrow, corner of eye, under eye, under nose, below lip on chin, under the edges of your collarbone and under your arm below your arm pit.  Breathe.  How are you feeling? What is the intensity of the negative emotion you tapped on?  Where is the emotion in your body?

Norman Rockwell the famous 20th century painter had a vision of what the American family should be like at Thanksgiving. Not every family has this experience.  If you did not have this experience this Thanksgiving, please use EFT to tap out your sadness, anger, hurt and disappointment. Better to tap than to self medicate. No hangover, headache or fogginess with tapping.  Do not be afraid to ask for help. Contact me at [email protected]. I will help or find someone who can.
