Sarah Pennington, Miss USA National Pennsylvania 2021, uses her pageantry platform to redefine disability and spread awareness of trichotillomania. And, she’s breaking boundaries as a bald pageant girl and has been featured on the Megyn Kelly Today Show.
On Life Without Limits, we talk about her struggles with hair-pulling and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). Over the years, she’s learned to self-advocate, and she inspires others to do the same. Before Covid-19, Sarah and her service dog, Miss Daisy, traveled across the United States and Canada sharing inspiration and hope.
Currently, Sarah is a film student at Savanna College of Art and Design and aspires to be a director. Her projects and films focus on stories of people overcoming adversity. Driven by her own experience, Sarah’s mission is to increase the representation of people with disabilities within the film industry.
